Academic Results

The attainment levels achieved by Herries' pupils in both core and foundation National Curriculum subjects at the end of the school year, placed most of our pupils above the national average for their age. The children in Years 3 to 6 undertake CATs testing which provides us with age standardised scores in Verbal Reasoning, Non-verbal Reasoning, Spatial and Quantitative. All children also take GL Progress in English and Maths Tests at the beginning of each academic year, in order to gauge progress across the curriculum.

The children leave us at the end of Year 6 fully prepared for their next school. We have a strong record with grammar school selection, through the Bucks Secondary School Transfer Test, as well as to selective and non-selective Independent Secondary Schools, with some awarded scholarships.
